Bosch's With You-Defamiliarisation CD

To be honest...I don´t know much about Russia and its music scene...it was just not on my musical map, but after I´ve listened to this...I´m thursty for more music from Russia. Bosch´s With You is what I call an insiders' tip. Post Rock with a shitload of great melodies and floating sounds. "Defamiliarisation" is like a walk through the rain in summer...refreshing and beautiful. The first track "#1-as a bird" is over 21 minutes and takes you through different really emotional instrumental levels...it´s a bit like a romantic version of Isis with a little bit of Massive Attack...really relaxing stuff and something to quiet the mind. Second song "penetrating in/outside pint of view III" starts really quiet too and flows into a rhythmic cascade of gorgeous melodies. Third song "HCTD do the D.O.W. another way"(over nine minutes) is more like a mid 80´s New Wave song in the vein of Joy Division just without vocals. Song #4 "HCTD a modern Defamiliarisation" (over 7 minutes) is a bit darker, but still really melodic with some really cool hard guitar parts and damn nice disharmonies. Last but not least song number five "the last image attention" (0ver 9 minutes) closes this outstanding album and completes the whole thing with a last outbreak of floating and seismic music...I love this album...great.
